I'll be balancing out the Minotaur natural 3 +5 characteristics with some major friend making issues. Like not able to pool rec or use pooled rec, idk. Minotaurs are noted astartes killers, so maybe some natural hatred astartes? We will see.

ok with the rolled 5, I will choose which table to roll on for 1. The next 2 rolls will be 1 d5 to decide the next table, and 1 d10 to decide the second tables outcome. The first table that I choose I will roll a d10 on after so I dont pick the same table twice accidentally.

Solomode Ability

Bellowing Charge
Type: Active
Required Rank: 1
Effects: On a successful charge, the enemy combatant(s) take a Challenging Willpower Test (+0). If failed, the enemy then takes +5 damage to all hits landed during the charge.
Improvements: At rank 3, the willpower test becomes a -10, and if failed, the enemy suffers a -10 agility penalty until end of combat.
At rank 5, in addition to other effects, take an intimidation test. If passed, the enemy is stunned for 1d5 turns.


Chapter Trappings

 (I can only think of one at the moment)

Shield Of Helios

All Minotaurs have the option of carrying to battle a glorious Shield of Helios. The thick armored shield is equal parts weapon and defense in the practiced hands of a Minotaur.
When equipped, the shield grants the same bonuses as an Astartes Storm Shield, minus the energy field. However, due to the large size of the Helios shield, the user may take a challenging (+0) agility test to duck under the rim of the shield should an attack be directed toward their head to receive the +4 armor bonus there as well.


Alright, and how about I add on a Rivalry (trait?) with Ultramarines and all Loyal Ultramarine Successors, and a trait that disallows any trade of rec between a Minotaur and Marine of another chapter?

Are you not using your codex advancement table?
You naturally have Rival (all adeptus astartes not of the minotaurs or deathwatch) and Enemy (all non adeptus astartes imperial bodies)
As for the rec trade, that steps into Deathwatch territory, and your rivalry SHOULD not carry over, but if you want to make yourself extra gritty you could just set your own limitations without rules.
The primarchs curse under the codex rules also really for a Minotaur, I think.
As for the shield, that sounds quite strong for a chapter trapping, I'd recommend you take that and turn it into a piece of chapter wargear.
Just my two cents, though.

Where can I find the codex advancement table?
Natural rival works too, but there is a particular animosity the ultramarines have against us, and I would like to add something in that would be fitting.

I might just have to RP it then for rec.

The minotaurs have a very aloof gene seed history, possibly from multiple other chapters, so I'll look into it.

(Chapter wargear is something I still have to rec right?)
What if I remove the head guarding ability and reduce the armor bonus to body and left arm to 3 instead of 4? I want his shield to be a defining characteristic until he advances and can take a true storm shield or whatever else.
